Prague–June 20, 2026

Today we went to places for my friend’s child to enjoy. First was the Illusion Art Museum. Several of the best pieces were displays that look like random junk when viewed off-angle, but turn into something cool when viewed at exactly the correct angle.

Piano that appears to have various objects strewn about on top of it
Portrait of musician Bedrich Smetana when seen at correct viewing angle

Woman’s face composed of multicolored gray green and black cubes attached to a canvas
Bronze sculpture that looks like twisted tubes. When viewed in a cylindrical mirror, it is a hand.

I had never seen 3-D anamorphic art before.

Array of electronic gadgets seemingly randomly placed
When viewed at correct angle, a sculpture of Nikola Tesla.

Garbage can titled above a table; on table, cups, saucers, plants.

Sorry, I did not get a picture of this one from the correct angle.

Then, off to the Museum of Bricks, which was just OK for me, but the child really enjoyed it.

...and miscellaneous pictures.

Of course, I had to go across the Charles Bridge.
