Schönbrunn Zoo

This is the world’s oldest zoo, founded in 1752.

Elegant, immense greeenhouse with curved walls

There’s a greenhouse on the grounds near the zoo; we didn’t visit it.

The giant pandas are a big attraction here, as they are at every zoo that has them.

The giraffe enclosure has a second floor so you don’t have to get a crick in your neck from looking up at them.

The German word for sloth is Faultier, which literally translates to “lazy beast”.

Miscellanea

Artistic font: the W is literally made from two intersecting U shapes

The letter “w” in this font is really attractive.

While waiting for my friends at dinner time, I explored the area around the restaurant and got these photos:
