Vienna–June 10, 2026

I went to Vienna to meet some friends. This time I took Westbahn instead of the ÖBB (Austrian railway system).

Train info display showing analog clock at lower right.

See? Even digital displays use analog clocks.

Interior of train showing shiny black seats, bright lighting

Westbahn has newer, classier train cars.

While waiting for my friends at Wien Mitte, I saw this wall art:

Hedgehog with blue face, bird with orange circle around head
Flower with white circle highlight
Stork with blue circle highlight
Squirrel, duck, and fish with white, orange, and blue highlight around head
Two swans
Honeybee at left, plant at right with orange circular highlight
Bird with what appears to be a worm in its mouth but is actually a curved line that extends across the wall
Squirrel holding a blue circle in its front paws. The painting is upside-down, as if the squirrel is hanging from the ceiling
Side view of wolf, walking
Bird, walkiing towards viewer’s left
Squirrel with very long, bushy ears

The rest of the day was devoted to getting my friends situated in the hotel, so no other pictures.
