Around the National Gallery Sculpture Garden.
These are pictures of the “illusory house”—you obviously need to have 3-d to get the full effect.
There’s quite a bit of construction around the National Gallery (the whole east wing is undergoing renovation). Even the construction barriers are put to good use advertising what’s inside.
And finally, the National Gallery itself. First off, some Dutch masterworks.
A display of American furniture.
A sculpture hall with plenty of Rodins.
A hodge-podge of old religious art and a Mondrian thrown in just for the hell of it.
Some presidential portraits by Gilbert Stuart (Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, James Monroe, George Washington, and John Adams).
A couple more paintings.
