Vienna–April 17, 2019

As is my custom, I took the subway out to the end of one of the lines. In this case, it was the Oberlaa district in south Vienna. Here are some pictures from my walk around there:

Oberlaa District

Area with benches and trees in front of house Rectangular blocky apartment buildings in pastel yellow and orange Two-story house with metal gate Wrought-iron gate with green patina Light yellow house Restaurant with fraktur script on sign: Oberlaaer Dorf-Wirt Stream with grassy banks House occluded by trees House sign with vines and fence Painted purple grapes on side of restaurant Field with houses in distance Wooden door with ornament in shape of squirrel Apartment houses with light brown paint Overgrown field; white houses in background Wooden fence with bushes growing over top

There were a few “beware of dog“ signs:

Vienna

Back in downtown Vienna, just walking around. It turns out that I found myself on the exact same street where I took some pictures the last time I was in Vienna.

The Czech Center (web site in German and Czech only), had an exhibit of art by a street artist going by the name of Toy_Box:

I passed by an Easter market, and got a couple of pictures there:
