Brussels→Amsterdam – 5 February 2015
I had some time in the morning to go down to the Grand Place again. There was a film crew filming something in the area; I didn’t ask what.
Just a few pictures from the train.
Once in Amsterdam, I went out to the hotel, where I saw my first cat of the entire vacation. This one was semi-feral; it let me approach, and it seems that the hotel staff have been feeding it.
I took the shuttle bus back to the airport to get dinner; decided I was too touristed-out to go to the Amsterdam City Center. I had an excellent pizza at Pizza Per Tutti! (site in Dutch), then took the bus back to the hotel.
This very large metal frame sculpture above the entrance to the airport must be of some person who was instrumental in the airport’s history.
That’s about it for this trip. My flight back is tomorrow, and I don’t plan on taking many photos (if any) tomorrow morning.
Signage
This one is from Brussels; the French reads “We have the most beautiful customers in the world.”
This one was at the Rotterdam Station; clever use of railroad tracks as part of the butterfly.
