Toronto–August 11, 2022
Most of the pictures from today are street art and signage.
Roncesvalles
At a friend’s suggestion, I went to the Roncesvalles area of Toronto (west of downtown). There are a lot of Polish people there, as you can see from these two photos:
OK; here we go.
Here was some of the first full wall art I found...
More art on the street...
These wall paintings were on the site where there used to be an amusement park.
At this point, I got to the end of Roncesvalles Avenue and turned right onto Queen Street West. A short distance away is a memorial to the people who died in the Katyn massacre by the Soviets in 1940.
Some wall art at the back of a restaurant:
And now, art from Queen Street West.
Alley Art I
I saw these down a side street. (This is the first of three such alleys.)
OK; back to the street. This is where I started to see planters with artwork on them.
There’s a lot of art on the wall of a building that has a store called Sanko.
And these two pictures outside of a store that caters to motorcycle riders:
Continuing onwards...
Alley Art II
And now, another side trip down an alley with some good graffiti.
And back to Queen Street again...
Graffiti Alley: Alley Art III
Unlike the other two alleys, which I pretty much encountered accidentally, this one has an official name: Graffiti Alley. It also has a lot of people taking pictures of it.
Signage
Here are some of the signs/logos that caught my eye.
