Visalia, CA–April 11, 2022

I stopped in Visalia to visit an artist friend, and we took a walk downtown. There are a lot of wall paintings:

Mural of greek/roman ruins on a parking structure wall Mural of barber giving a child a haircut Mural of city name Visalia with colored shapes among the letters Mural of mountain range with snow-capped mountains Mural in style of a postcard reading “Welcome to Downtown Visalia”, with local-themed scenes in the letters. Front of game store with painiting of alien in a t-shirt with dice on the sleeve Side of building with painting of a mountainscape and words BANK OF THE SIERRA

There must be some art project to paint fire hydrants:

Painted with words doctors, firefighters, brave, police, hope Hydrant painted in colors of trans pride and gay pride flags Hydrant painted with flowers and words “Peace,” “Paz,” and “Love.” Fire hydrant painted like Godzilla; it is surrounded by planters with flowers Hydrant painted with A&W restaurant logo and picturs of ic cream floats

And finally, these miscellaneous pictures:
