Los Angeles–9 June 2017

One of the events was “Pride is Universal” at Universal Studios. I had never been there before, and decided I may as well go for it. In the morning, I rode my bicycle from the hotel. I didn’t have to worry about finding a parking place for my bike:

Large number of ring-shaped bicycle racks

I went on the studio tour, which was quite enjoyable. While waiting in line, I met a couple of ladies who were visiting from Switzerland; they had lived in Newark CA many years ago when there were still orchards.

I don’t have a lot of pictures from the tour or the park itself; I decided I wanted to experience it more than obsessively record it. I’m sure if you go to YouTube or Flickr you can find a near infinite number of videos and photos. However, I did stop to get some views of Los Angeles from the upper level of the park:

The lower lot is at a much lower level than the upper lot; this shows some of the stairs / escalator. (Of course, I took the stairs.)

On the way back, I got pictures of whatever caught my eye:

Wall painting of woman wearing multi-colored dress
Abstract art on construction pass-through
Stickers on a motorcycle's gas tank This motorcycle’s gas tank is a work of art in and of itself.
Streaks of paint on building for Wally Heider's Studio Three This building was home to Wally Heider’s Studio Three, a historic recording studio.

These three establishments are all in the same mini strip-mall near Cahuenga and Sunset. Sorry for the out-of-focus last picture.
