The Queen Mary

The ship is old, but still quite amazing given the technology when it was built. The last picture is a mural across from the ship.

As you can see from the picture of the wiring, it was really quite complex. The ship may need some upkeep; notice the barnacles on one of the cables. Some of the exterior of the ship is showing rust stains as well. The engine room is just immense; you can go down several levels of stairs (I didn’t go all the way to the bottom).

Russian Submarine

Yes, the Queen Mary was good, but I thought the Russian submarine was more fun. As you went from compartment to compartment (and it is not for the claustrophobic or the non-agile), you heard a recording of the “tour guide” narrating in a Russian accent reminiscent of Boris Badenov’s. The last picture says something like “dangerous to life.”

Aquarium of the Pacific

Only a few pictures from here. I got quite a few movies with my camera, but my Chromebook doesn’t have the horsepower to do the editing. (I was later able to edit the movies; the result is here.
