Graz–May. 10, 2025

Today I decided to walk to the StadtPark 🇦🇹 (City Park).

This mural is near where I live.

mural showing person holding paint brushes

And these two posters at the train station: (The first two say “Risked, risked, flamed“ and “Unfocused, unfocused, scalped”.)

Riskiert Riskiert Flambiert (toy on back with lightning bolts in its chest) / Unkonzentriert Unkonzentriert Kollidiert (toy in pieces) Ignoriert Ignoriert Skalpiert (decaptitated toy)

Plaque on a house: In this house, Karl Morre died on 21 February 1897. Dedicated by Annenberg. He was a poet and writer.

Stadtpark

Well. It’s big. As in 22 hectares (54 acres). And really gorgeous too, now that spring has sprung.

Aside: this poem from my childhood just popped into my head, and I have to share it with you:

Spring has sprung.
Grass has riz.
Wonder where the birdies is?

Thank you. I feel much better now. We now return you to our regularly scheduled photos.

bust of Schiller

Schiller was quite the handsome dude.
