Las Vegas 2012 - 16 August

I wanted to go to the Strip and catch an afternoon show, “The Magic of Paris” at Paris Hotel/Casino. When I got to the box office, I asked if there were any tickets available, and the person told me that the show had been closed for a year. It’s still listed at visitlasvegas.com, so it seems they have some updating to do on their site.

I had lunch at the creperie at Paris; the crepe with chicken, sun-dried tomatos, pesto, and asparagus was just wonderful.

I then walked south on the Strip down to Mandalay Bay. The MGM grand is doing renovations, and they had a giant paint can and paint brush outside to advertise the fact. Claes Oldenburg would love it.

I decided to see a different show; Nathan Burton’s Comedy Magic. It was pretty good. He had, as a guest star, a performer named Jeff Civillico, who does juggling and comedy. The guy was absolutely fantastic, and I am planning to see his show on Saturday.
