Learning the Russian alphabet is thirsty work. We can use the letters we already know to get some drinks at the рестора́н.
вода́ | water |
молоко́ | milk |
лимона́д | soft drink (despite what it sounds like, this is a generic name for a soft drink!) |
квас | kvas (This is some sort of fermented drink; I have had some but cannot for the life of me describe the taste.) |
Perhaps you're in the mood for something a bit stronger, which you could also buy at a бар:
пи́во | beer |
вино́ | wine |
во́дка | vodka |
No, I haven’t forgotten about coffee and tea; you just don’t have the letters for them yet!
