Actually, most of the pictures here are from Henderson, NV, which is just south of Las Vegas. Today was “Henderson Heritage Day,” and they had a display of classic cars. I am not much into automobiles, so I just took pictures of the cars that had the brightest colors or looked the most interesting.
The most interesting car was the \ Isetta, whose entire front end opens up to allow two people to be seated.
The cars had little tags that identified the make, model, etc. This was the best of the lot.
Along with the car show was a very small arts & crafts area, as well as food booths from many countries. Ireland was one of the countries represented. There was also an area where businesses hawked their products; Geico was there.
I rode my bike along Boulder Highway for the first part of the ride home from the festival. I passed by a casino that had been closed down; even the cactus looked dilapidated. I also saw the most incredibly minimalist “handicapped parking” symbol ever.
And finally, a couple of nice desertscape photos.
