No News is Good News
Not much to report today; I had a meeting from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. As I was going to the meeting, I crossed through a parking lot that had been taken over by a farmers’ market. I bought two packages of fresh strawberries for 3 euro; they were quite a hit.
I won’t bore you with the details of what happened at the meeting. I ended up taking the minutes, and will have to edit them tomorrow.
I probably will not be posting much until I get back to the U.S.; I'm going to do some souvenir-shopping tomorrow, and on Friday I go to Amsterdam to give a talk to the OpenDocument Society. I go back to Hamburg on Saturday, and then leave for the U.S. on Sunday.
Here are two pictures left over from yesterday.
The Hamburg transit sysem has a very serious graffiti
problem. Actually, this picture shows some of the more
artistic graffiti that I have seen. Some of it is
really bad; if I get a chance I’ll get a picture
of that too.
The rail station near the hotel has a
lattice brickwork wall.
Guess where everyone puts their cigarette butts and gum
wrappers?
