More Adjectives
Here are a few useful adjectives. They all have endings exactly like καλός. In the table below, we show you the nominative (subject) form for all three genders. [Yes. We’ve switched to a smaller typeface. After all the Greek you’ve studied, you’re ready for normal-sized letters.]

Examples
Ο μεγάλος άντρας έχει το κόκκινο μήλο.
The big man has the red apple.
Το άσπρο φουστάνι της μικρής γυναίκης είναι φτινό.
The white dress of the small woman is cheap. (or)
The small woman’s white dress is cheap.
Note: the word “cheap” is neuter
singular, because it matches “dress,” not “woman.”
It is nominative (subject) case, because the word “is” does
not take an object.
Knowing that ο φίλος means “the friend”:
Εγώ ξέρω τους καλόυς φίλους
των μεγάλων αντρών.
I know the good friends of the big men.
