Berlin–May. 31, 2025
Took the U6 line to Alt-Mariendorf, but saw a lot of people getting on at Ullsteinstraße, so I decided to get off and see what that area was like. It turned out I was right near a harbor where they were having a festival.
A half liter of beer for 2,50€ is apparently a good deal.
Some pictures from Alt-Mariendorf:
On the way back from the event, I got off at a spot that had a nice view of a river. It turned out be near the equivalent of an “Embassy Row”:
UAE
Some organization from Nordrhein Westphalen and the EU
Greek embassy
Italian embassy
Another view of the Italian embassy
And, facing this street, is one side of...
...the Japanese embassy.
I think this is the Estonian embassy.
Stickers/Street Art
Viktoria Köln against the right
Signage
Another creepy ultra-whitebread advertisement.
You don't have to have a travel plan for your finances. But you can. Your account. Your city. Your decision. Open a bank account now. (from Sparkasse Berlin)
This series of signs has no company name (which is sort of weird); I posted one of them to Reddit and found out that it’s a campaign by PayPal.
You love cash. But has cashed ever loved you back?
Pay later? Cash can't do that.
Cash is no longer king.
