Street Art

Murals abound in Reno. I’m not sure if the last of this set counts as a mural, but close enough.

Reno Playa Art Park

This is a small area across from one of the main casinos. This page has a description (about halfway down the page).

University of Nevada at Reno

Various pictures taken as I walked around the campus. The last is in a small garden; it belongs to the biology department, though what it’s for I have no clue.

There was a sculpture garden, so, of course, I had to stop and take pictures.

Riverwalk

Some pictures taken along the river walk:

Signage

The first one has been rotated 90° to make it easier to read; it’s a very clever name for a restaurant.

Stylized Fork and gear wheel in logo for Forklift restaurant at UNR. Neon sign for “Laughing Planet” restaurant showing Saturn with a smile Building with IDENTITY in vertical lettering Sign on ground showing crocodiles; text: “Crossing distracted is just as deadly.” Sign for dropout bike shop, with wrench in form of lower case “d”

Miscellanea

Various things that I saw. The first seems to be an old gas lamp fixture in the Amtrak station downtown; I have no idea what the last one is, though I am informed that it might be a rail car coupler, possibly from mining equipment.
