Lima–2014 January 14

Not much to post here today. The ceviche that I ate yesterday must have been bad; it repeated on me the entire night. (No, I didn’t get any pictures.)

Went to see a doctor that lives nearby the hotel; he prescribed something called “Furoxona Forte,” and it seems to be doing the job nicely. He also told me to drink Gatorade®, which tastes just as awful as I remember it tasting.

I slept most of the morning, went out in the afternoon to do laundry, slept some more, walked around to buy souvenirs, and got a (very) few pictures.

A quick addendum to yesterday’s happenings: while riding the bus, this guy carrying a guitar got on, said something about making people’s day happier with music, and proceeded to sing, actually quite well. This is not the sort of thing I had expected to have happen on a bus ride. Then he passed the hat before getting off. A few minutes later, another guy gets on with his guitar and sings off key for about three minutes. No donation from me on that one either. There were also people selling ice cream bars who would come on the bus, try for customers, then get off again.
